HONORING Ed Moore upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the J. Walter Juckett
Community Service Award by the Adirondack Regional
Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made
significant contributions to the quality of life therein; and

WHEREAS, From time to time, this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their
valued contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Ed Moore
upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the J. Walter
Juckett Community Service Award by the Adirondack Regional Chamber of
Commerce to be celebrated its Annual Event at the Sagamore Resort on
Saturday, March 11, 2017, in Bolton Landing, New York; and

WHEREAS, This prestigious award, specially designed and commissioned
through the Sandy Hill Foundation, is named after the late J. Walter
Juckett, who served as Chairman of the former Sandy Hill Corporation;
and

WHEREAS, Ed Moore, of Queensbury, New York, has been called upon to
contribute his time and talents to countless civic and charitable
endeavors and has always given of himself unstintingly; through his
commitment of service to the area, he is most deserving of this
prestigious award; and

WHEREAS, With a sense of civic responsibility, Ed Moore has made
significant contributions to the city of Glens Falls, especially the
downtown area; he has generously supported the Crandall Library, The
Hyde, The Wood Theater and the Glens Falls Civic Center; without his
significant influences, Glens Falls would not be what it is today; and

WHEREAS, As owner of Log Jam Outlet Center, a popular outlet
shopping destination in Lake George, New York, Ed Moore has given of his
time, his enthusiasm, and his guidance to lift the community to the
highest level possible; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others, which Ed Moore has displayed
throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Ed Moore upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
J. Walter Juckett Community Service Award by the Adirondack Regional
Chamber of Commerce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Ed Moore.
