Assembly Resolution No. 497

CONGRATULATING the Binghamton High School Boys' 4
x 100 Meter Relay Team upon the occasion of
capturing the 2016 Outdoor NYSPHSAA Section IV
Division 1 Championship

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people within the State of New York who, by
achieving outstanding success in athletic competition, have inspired and
brought pride to their school and community; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate the Binghamton High School Boys' 4 x 100 Meter Relay Team
upon the occasion of capturing the 2016 Outdoor NYSPHSAA Section IV
Division 1 Championship; and

WHEREAS, The Binghamton Patriots captured the NYSPHSAA Championship
with an outstanding time of 42.31 seconds, setting a State meet record;
and

WHEREAS, In addition the Binghamton High Schools Boys' 4 x 100 Meter
Relay Team won the Southern Tier Athletic Conference, and the Section IV
Class A and overall Section IV titles; and

WHEREAS, The talented athletes who make up the Binghamton High
School Boys' 4 x 100 Meter Relay Team include Jesus Caballero, Kyhil
Pinkney, Egypt Page and Sincere Williamson; and

WHEREAS, Proudly donning the school's colors of red, blue and white,
family, friends, and the community at large loyally and enthusiastically
supported the Patriots throughout their journey as they ended their
season with an impressive overall record; and

WHEREAS, Coach David Cody and these four outstanding athletes have
clearly utilized dedication, determination and teamwork in providing a
lasting contribution to the spirit of excellence which is a tradition of
their school; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when athletes
of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our attention,
they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of this
great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the members of the Binghamton High School Boys' 4 x 100
Meter Relay Team and Coach Cody on their outstanding season and overall
team record; and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the members of the Binghamton High School Boys' 4 x 100
Meter Relay Team: Jesus Caballero, Kyhil Pinkney, Egypt Page and Sincere
Williamson; and Coach David Cody.
