COMMEMORATING the 50th Anniversary of the William
F. Ryan Community Health Network

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those organizations that substantially contribute to the
vitality and well-being of their communities and this great Empire
State; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commemorate the
50th Anniversary of William F. Ryan Community Health Network; and

WHEREAS, William F. Ryan Community Health Network is a nonprofit
organization founded in 1967 by former Congressman William F. Ryan with
the goal to provide health services to underserved communities; and

WHEREAS, William F. Ryan Community Health Network continues to serve
patients in a manner consistent with its founding mission to serve all
who seek its care, regardless of ability to pay; and

WHEREAS, William F. Ryan Community Health Network strives to serve
diverse communities and provide medical care that is low cost, high
quality, culturally and linguistically appropriate; and

WHEREAS, Since 1988, the William F. Ryan Community Health Network
Ryan-NENA Center has provided residents of the Lower East Side with much
needed access to primary care and social support services; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional organization and its contributions to the
communities it serves, fully confident that it will continue to serve as
it has thus far; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 50th Anniversary of William F. Ryan Community Health
Network; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to William F. Ryan Community Health Network.
