COMMEMORATING the 50th Anniversary of P.E.A.C.E.,
Inc., established in 1968, and located at 217 South
Salina St., in Syracuse, New York

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor and
congratulate P.E.A.C.E., Inc., upon the occasion of its 50th Anniversary
of helping people in the Central New York (CNY) community realize their
potential for becoming self-sufficient; and

WHEREAS, P.E.A.C.E., Inc. a not-for-profit organization, was
incorporated on March 26, 1968, and was formed by people who believe in
the strength of the human spirit, who were dedicated to changing lives
by teaching people how to help themselves and support those around them;
and

WHEREAS, P.E.A.C.E., Inc. has continued its proud and dedicated
service to the community providing programming and training to equip
individuals and families with the necessary tools and skills to help
them move from poverty to self-sufficiency, thereby strengthening the
CNY community; and

WHEREAS, P.E.A.C.E., Inc. is one of Onondaga County's federally
designated Community Action Agencies, designed to improve the conditions
in which people live; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 50th Anniversary of P.E.A.C.E., Inc.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to representatives of P.E.A.C.E., Inc.
