COMMENDING Curbell Plastics upon the occasion of
its designation as recipient of the International
Association of Plastics Distribution's Best Overall
Program and Gold Education Circle of Champions Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the entire
Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Curbell Plastics upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the International Association of Plastics Distribution's
(IAPD) Best Overall Program and Gold Education Circle of Champions
Award; this momentous occasion was celebrated at the 62nd Annual IAPD
Convention and Plastics Showcase in Washington, D.C.; and

WHEREAS, Orchard Park-based Curbell Plastics has earned these most
prestigious honors in recognition of the company's commitments to the
IAPD, the environment and professional education; and

WHEREAS, The 2018 IAPD convention marked the fourth consecutive year
the organization has honored Curbell Plastics, a supplier of plastic
sheet, rod, tube, film, adhesives, sealants and prototyping materials,
for leading by example in environmental responsibility; and

WHEREAS, Curbell Plastics received the top award for scoring the
highest point total in the IAPD Environmental Committee's selection
process - with Curbell's recycling practices, employee education program
and zero-landfill status for the company's headquarters contributing to
its score; and

WHEREAS, Before taking Best Overall Program this year, Curbell
Plastics was the only company to win a Gold Level Environmental
Excellence Award three years in a row, after earning the recognition in
2015, 2016 and 2017; and

WHEREAS, For the third consecutive year, Curbell Plastics earned a
top honor in the IAPD's Education Circle of Champions, scoring a Gold
Award which recognizes companies for the highest level of commitment to
continuing plastics education and sales training; and

WHEREAS, One of only eight Gold Award recipients nationwide, Curbell
Plastics scored in the highest level for its use of IAPD training
resources as well as for its extensive and continually evolving internal
training programs, which reflect the company's core values and its
emphasis on developing the plastics leaders of tomorrow; and

WHEREAS, Over its distinguished history, Curbell Plastics has
demonstrated continuous service to the residents and communities which
it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of Curbell Plastics is in direct correlation to
the efforts of its staff, whose involvement is, and always has been,
characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and
an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of
the company and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Curbell Plastics; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Curbell Plastics upon the occasion of its designation as receipt
of the International Association of Plastics Distribution's Best Overall
Program and Gold Education Circle of Champions Award; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Curbell Plastics, Orchard Park, New York.
