Buffalo - Olmstead Conservancy Check Presentation and Park Clean Up

Buffalo, NY- NYS Senator, Antoine M. Thompson (D-Parts of Erie & Niagara Counties) and Chair of the Senate Environmental Conservation Committee, held an Earth Day press conference announcing $500,000 in funding that he has secured for Buffalo’s Olmsted Parks under the Environmental Protection Fund. Thomas Herrera-Mishler accepted the funding on behalf of the Olmsted Conservancy.
“As Chair of the Senate Environmental Conservation Committee, I am proud that I have been able to secure funds for Buffalo’s Parks. We need to keep Western New York beautiful and every bit helps,” stated Senator Thompson.
“I commend Senator Thompson for his active role in the Senate Environmental Conservation Committee, and for his efforts to clean and beautify Buffalo’s parks,” said Mayor Byron Brown. “This cleanup at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park is a great way to promote the importance of environmental conservation and will be sincerely appreciated by the park’s many visitors.”
