On Sunday September 13, New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) attended the ribbon cutting ceremony unveiling the new renovations at the National Art League in Douglaston. Senator Padavan secured major capital grants to help make the renovations possible. The National Art League is an organization of professional artists and art students who seek to advance their artistic skills and works. Established in 1930, the National Art League has grown to now include 300 artists as a part of the organization. Architect Kevin Wolfe, National Art League President Marie Marsina and Senator Frank Padavan cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the teachers’ exhibition at the National Art League in Douglaston.
