Padavan Kicks Off Lunar New Year at Flushing Parade

On January 31st, Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) joined with the Korean American Association of Queens, local elected officials and thousands of New Yorkers to welcome the Year of the Ox at the Korean American Association’s annual Lunar New Year Parade. The event, an annual tradition for the Flushing community attracts tens of thousands of New Yorkers to mark the beginning of the Lunar New Year. New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli, Peter Koo, Mayor Bloomberg, Padavan, Assemblywoman Grace Meng and Councilman John Liu line up to kick of the Korean American Association of Queens Lunar New Year Parade in Flushing.
