Senator Alesi Protecting Small Business
James S. Alesi
December 21, 2009
As former Chairman of the Senate Commerce Economic Development Committee, Senator Alesi was a prime architect of “Upstate Now”. Passed by the Senate, “Upstate Now” would lower taxes, provide affordable health plans for small businesses, strengthen our workforce, invest in new technology and reduce energy costs to help small businesses thrive.
A highly skilled workforce is imperative to the success and growth of our local economy. Senator Alesi continues to support small businesses in securing workforce development funds for groups like Rochester Business Alliance and Progress Rochester that partner with area colleges, universities, and local businesses to provide necessary training.
