Padavan Meets with Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program Staff

On Tuesday January 20th, New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) met with representatives from the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program at the State Capitol in Albany. The program, marking its 30th anniversary, provides vital support and services for women throughout the state and metropolitan area facing breast cancer. The goal of the program is to “educate, support empower and advocate for breast cancer patients, professionals and the community.” The program operates a statewide, toll-free breast cancer hotline that handles over 4,000 calls annually with over 350,000 visits to their web-site each year. Senator Kemp Hannon (Nassau), Joanne Shigo, Senator Frank Padavan Program, Director Hillary Rutter, Public Relations Consultant Lyn Dobrin and Bilingual Outreach Coordinator Angelica Medina meet at the State Capitol on Tuesday January 20, 2010.
