The Long Island Pharmacists Society, Inc. invited Long Island legislators to the Arthur Perlin Memorial Breakfast to thank them for their support in addressing the problems of prescribed medicines. Of major concern to the organization is the overprescribing of controlled drugs and their illicit use on the streets. The event took place at the Melville Marriott Long Island on August 24, 2011.
