Committee Agenda

The Senate Majority conference unveiled its 2011 committee assignments at the Capitol earlier today.  In addition to heading up the Senate Elections Committee as chairman, I’ll also be serving on 10 other committees.

It’s a full plate of assignments, that’s for sure, but it’s going to keep me on the front lines of addressing several key short- and long-term challenges facing the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions, including strengthening industries like agriculture and tourism, environmental protection, public safety and criminal justice, and education.

So I’m excited to get started this way.  It’s great to be able to get to work on committees that directly impact our region, our long-term economic security, and the overall quality of our communities.
