Senator Martins Health Initiative With Valencia Gym, "DJ Monumental" and Sunny Seward a Success

State Senator Jack Martins cooperative effort with Elmont’s Valencia Gym resulted in an outstanding evening of health care education, diabetes awareness and fitness training a few weeks ago. Teaming up with BET’s 106th and Park television show personality "DJ Monumental" and Health Care Advocate Sunny Seward, a special health video seminar was taped in Elmont as part of the ongoing health care initiative aimed at combating diabetes and proper nutrition. Valencia Gym is located on Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont and has been the scene of many community health outreach programs. “This evening educated many people about health and fitness issues in an effort to promote health lifestyle choices," said Senator Martins noting, "the video production segment on food, nutrition and diabetes awareness led by Sunny Seward and DJ Monumental was a great success."
