Gaye Mallet’s signature talent is establishing and expanding human resource departments for growing companies and is currently the Human Resources Director for Adams Fairacre Farms, Inc. In the 15 years she has been at Adams, she has overseen 70% employee growth and development with the addition of new departments and two new stores. Adams currently employs just over one thousand people.
In 2002, Ms. Mallet was elected to the board of directors of the Poughkeepsie Area Chamber of Commerce, now known as the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce. In 2010, she was elected chairman of the board of directors and was instrumental in a highly successful consolidation with the Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce. In 2011, Ms. Mallet was re-elected chairman of the board for this 2,000-member joint chamber.
Giving of her time to community leadership is Ms. Mallet’s passion. She currently serves on the executive committee as second vice chair for the Mid-Hudson Civic Center & McCann Ice Arena. She also serves on the foundation board of directors for the Vassar Warner Home for Senior Citizens in Poughkeepsie, the executive board of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, and on the elder board of the Freedom Plains Presbyterian Church in Lagrangeville. In 2010 and 2011 she was the pacesetter chair for the United Way campaigns and the 2011 co-chair of the Dutchess County Arts Fund.
A tireless force for the past 25 years, Ms. Mallet has presented, mentored and taught at numerous seminars, programs and workshops for high school and college students as well as for professionals locally and nationally. As a testament to her hard work, she has been recognized for her leadership by the YWCA Salute to Women Award and the Girl Scouts Seat of Honor Award.
