Representatives of the Osborne Association came to Albany to ask lawmakers to support Senator Montgomery's legislation that was introduced to addresses concerns raised by three young people whose parents are in prison. The bills are:

S 6043-A: Directs the superintendent of state police to develop and institute child-sensitive arrest policies and procedures for instances where police are arresting an individual who is a parent, guardian or other person legally charged with the care or custody of a child.
S 6077: Requires the department of corrections and community supervision to place incarcerated parents at correctional institutions and facilities closest to their children's home.
