State Senator Malcolm A. Smith (D-Hollis) greeted constituents along the Memorial Day parade route in Rosedale, including these patriotic youngsters who were waving American flags and enjoying the sunshine. Smith also took part in the festivities in Laurelton.
"Memorial Day is a time to remember the heroic men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces," Smith said. "These heroes made an enormous sacrifice to protect the freedoms we enjoy today. As we hold this day in remembrance let us take time to thank the many men and women who serve our country."
