Romulus- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently participated and was the guest speaker at the annual "Wreaths Across America” military service at the Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Romulus. Senator Nozzolio was a part of an honor guard of veterans, family members and friends who came to pay homage to the veterans who are buried at Sampson.
Last Saturday, all across the United States, similar ceremonies took place to honor our Nation's fallen veterans and to recognize their many sacrifices. This year, Senator Nozzolio had the privilege of accompanying his longtime staff member, Charles Romer, a Captain in the United States Army Reserve, and his family, as they placed a wreath on the grave of Charles’ father, Roy Romer of Clyde, New York. Roy passed away recently and was a United States Navy veteran. Senator Nozzolio also had the honor of placing a wreath on the gravesite of Francis “Fran” Hurd, a WWII veteran and longtime public servant of Seneca County.
