Happy New Year!

"I want to wish everyone a very happy and healthy, prosperous and peaceful New Year!

A new year affords us the opportunity to turn the page. In 2015, I begin another term as the proud representative of the 35th District. I thank the voters for their trust and my colleagues as well, for electing me as the Senate Minority Leader - the first woman in state history to hold that position.

Our state faces many challenges and competing interests. I promise to seek common ground and work toward common sense solutions in order to provide the quality government services and protections that all New Yorkers expect and deserve. Let me know if you have ideas.
