(Tarrytown - October 10th) Senator Stewart-Cousins was updated on the progress being made on the nation's largest infrastructure project, the $3.9 billion new NY Bridge under construction in Tarrytown. State and federal funds are making the massive structure a reality, located in the Senator's district.
Special Advisor to the Governor, Brian Conybeare (right), and Outreach Deputy Director George Paschalis (left) explained how the first bridge deck slabs are now being put in place on the Rockland County side, and the 12 foot tall, blue spans will soon be rolled out over the Metro North tracks to connect to the Westchester side. The Senator also learned progress is being made on a key issue of interest for her - meeting the goals set for participation by minority and women-owned businesses.
