Honoring Activism & Journalism to win the Fight Against HIV/AIDS

Honored to join Bridging Access to Care's “Saving Our Homes, Saving Our Lives” World AIDS Day Awards Reception to benefit supportive housing programs for people living with HIV and AIDS last night. I had the opportunity to join in recognizing the work of Academy-Award nominated actress, writer, choreographer, director, and activist, Rosie Perez with a World AIDS Day Humanitarian Award and POZ Magazine with a World AIDS Day Award for Excellence in Journalism. The awards are a testament to their compassion, their civic mindedness, and their forward-thinking concern – and action! – for the community.
