Connecting Brooklynites with job opportunities is what Trade Union Learning Day is all about. I was happy to join with colleagues, community groups, and unions in educating neighborhood residents about employment pathways in these critical fields – fields that shape the built environment of our city every day. More than 100 neighbors learned these career paths, joining us at the Brownsville Multi-Service Center to hear from representatives of more than half a dozen unions. Thanks to all the partners who helped make this event possible including NYS Assembly Member Latrice Walker, the Brooklyn NAACP, Build Up NYC, and all the unions who participated.
