On July 21, 2015, Senator John A. DeFrancisco toured the Rescue Mission's expanded and renovated campus on Gifford Street in Syracuse. The new emergency shelter and day center, expected to officially open in the fall, feature several new units to meet the increased demand for residential and support services for those who are homeless.
