Statement from Senator Dilan | Fast Food Wage Board Recommends $15 Hourly Wage
Martin Malavé Dilan

“Throughout our state and city fast food franchises are prevalent. Often two to a block, they cater to every community, serving thousands of customers, often 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Collectively, they are among the largest employers with an ever increasing presence. There is always a need for staff and the demands placed on them is constantly growing. However, the pay neither reflects the scale of the work or the cost of living. Low-cost food and franchise gains should not ride on the back of low-cost labor,” said Senator Martin Malavé Dilan.
