Q & A Flyer on FEMA Flood Insurance Claims Review - Oct. 15 Deadline Approaching

As the October 15 deadline fast approaches for Sandy-affected homeowners to opt in to FEMA’s flood insurance claims review process, Staten Island Legal Services has developed a helpful flyer designed to inform Sandy-affected residents of the extended deadline, to alert people that the first $20,000 is now exempt from “duplication of benefits” for Build It Back, and to dispel any misconceptions that may be inhibiting people from participating.  

Attached is the 2-page flyer which gives an overview of the reasons homeowners should participate in the claims review and answers common questions people may have.
