Flanagan and Heastie Announce Joint Legislative Schedule For Adopting SFY 2017-2018 Budget

Senate Majority Leader John J. Flanagan, Assembly Speaker Carl E. Heastie, Senate Finance Committee Chair Catharine M. Young and Assembly Ways and Means Committee Chair Herman D. Farrell, Jr. today announced an agreement on a joint legislative budget schedule that sets deadlines for the adoption of a seventh consecutive on-time state budget.

The agreed-to legislative budget schedule for 2017 is as follows:
 

  • February 28 (on or before)
  •  Senate & Assembly Economic / Revenue Reports Released
  • March 1 (tentative)
  •  Joint Revenue Forecasting Conference
  • March 1 (on or before)
  •  Revenue Consensus Report
  • March 13
  •  Senate & Assembly One House Budget Actions
  • March 13
  •  Joint Senate & Assembly Budget Conference Committees Commence
  • March 23
  •  Joint Conference Committees End
  • March 27-31
  •  Joint Legislative Budget Bills Taken Up by Senate & Assembly
