Summer Reading Picnic

Amherst, NY - Senator Mike Ranzenhofer helped out at the Amherst Library's Summer Reading Picnic by handing out apple sauce. The picnic recognizes children for completing a Summer Reading Program. 

Evidence shows that children who stop reading over the summer break often fall behind when they return to class in September. Over 2.1 million students participated in summer reading at New York libraries last year.
