I hope local residents will continue to take advantage of these community meetings to learn more about and contribute to the challenges facing our region and state, including the heroin and opioid crisis, job creation, high taxes and overregulation, mandate relief, health care, education, transportation, and so many others.

Ithaca, N.Y.—New York State Senator Tom O’Mara (R,C,I-Big Flats) will hold a community meeting in Tompkins County on Thursday, October 12, 2017.

O’Mara’s meeting will be held at the Ithaca Town Hall (215 N. Tioga Street) from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

“I hope local residents will continue to take advantage of these community meetings to learn more about and contribute to the challenges facing our region and state, including the heroin and opioid crisis, job creation, high taxes and overregulation, mandate relief, health care, education, transportation, and so many others. Community meetings offer an opportunity for the direct give and take that’s fundamental to effective government,” said O’Mara.

The meeting is informal and open to the public to give local residents an opportunity to share their concerns, opinions, and suggestions for better government.  O’Mara stressed that any local residents unable to attend the meeting can contact him directly to share specific concerns and suggestions.
