There will be plenty to review in state government in 2017, but it has already been an unquestionably positive year for New York’s effort to secure a strong position in the nation’s burgeoning industrial hemp industry. In fact, since I joined Southern Tier Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo in 2014 to begin working with the Cuomo administration on introducing this new agricultural crop, there has been a steady stream of new laws and other actions to help it succeed.
