Our 2019 Annual Family Fun Day!

Thank you to those who attended our 2019 Annual Family Fun Day last Thursday, Aug. 15, at Canarsie Park. Everyone in the community was invited for this free event; and we had lovely weather and a spectacular turnout! Hundreds of families came out and enjoyed activities like life-sized board games and carnival attractions — even a rock-climbing wall — as well as a variety of refreshments, giveaways and raffles, and helpful information and resources.

As I said at the event, there are always things happening in Senate District 19. I believe our constituents deserve access to opportunities that are not only affordable but enjoyable too. Too many families in the district face the challenge of finding fun activities for their children and loved ones that are cost-efficient, so I am delighted to host events like these that provide family-friendly entertainment and spread the word of the vast amount of resources available to the community. Family Fun Day has become an event that residents look forward to attending every summer, and one that we always strive to deliver as best we can.
