Dear neighbor,
I know it can be overwhelming trying to keep up with the news. As my office receives new information about novel coronavirus, we will continue to update this resource guide with information to help you navigate the flurry of changes we face daily. Please know that the health and safety of our communities is my top priority.
PLEASE READ COVID-19: INFORMATION & RESOURCE GUIDE FOR SD-42 CONSTITUENTS. (The guide includes information on employment and small business assistance, testing capacity, public school and university updates, helpful resources for paying bills, legislative actions, ways to support local restaurants, and more.)
My office and I have been in daily briefings with the Governor's office, and have also been communicating with county health departments to learn how we can best support local efforts to combat the virus. Additionally, I am working cooperatively with my colleagues in the State Legislature to develop plans and resources to keep our communities safe.
We will continue to rely on the expertise of public health officials until the spread of the virus has been contained. Be safe, continue to practice social distancing, wash your hands frequently, and please do not hesitate to reach out to my office at metzger@nysenate.gov or (845) 344-3311 if we can be of assistance.
Sincerely,
Senator Jen Metzger
42nd District, New York State Senate
