Senator Fuschillo Drops First Puck At Vytra Cup Game
Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently dropped the ceremonial first puck at the 2005 Vytra Cup game, which was held at the Nassau Coliseum. Now in its ninth year, the Vytra Cup game pits high school hockey all-stars from Nassau County against those from Suffolk County. This year, the event drew approximately 5,000 spectators.
The Nassau squad featured seven players from Senator Fuschillo’s Senate District: David Greenburg and Dan Sieger (Bellmore-Merrick); Andrew Marino, Vinny Schieda, and Robert Pfeiffer (Massapequa); Mike DeMayo and Josh Anderson (Wantagh-Seaford).
"This game showcases the best high school hockey players from across Long Island and gives them the opportunity to play in a professional sports stadium in front of their family and friends," said Senator Fuschillo. "This is such a positive event for these young athletes, and I thank Vytra for allowing me to be a part of it."
