Senator Fuschillo Sworn In For 4th Term In New York State Senate

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th District) was recently sworn in to serve his 4th full term in the New York Senate. Senator Fuschillo recited the Oath of Office as a state senator in a ceremony on the Senate Chamber floor on the opening day of the 2005-2006 Legislative Session.

"Every day that I get to work in the Senate Chamber is an honor and I thank all the residents of the 8th Senate District for continuing to place their faith in me to represent them in Albany," stated Senator Fuschillo. "I take this as a great responsibility and will continue to do my best to serve my constituents."

Senator Fuschillo has become a prominent member of the New York State Senate in his six plus years in the Senate. Currently the Chairman of the Senate Consumer Protection Committee, Senator Fuschillo is responsible for the creation of the state’s "Do Not Call" registry and numerous consumer protection laws. Additionally, Senator Fuschillo is the author of the .08 Law, the workplace smoking protection and the numerous child safety laws.
