Senator Dale M. Volker Secures $5,000 For Cowlesville Fire Company

(Albany, NY) Senator Dale M. Volker (R-I-C, Depew) today announced that he has secured $5,000 for the Cowlesville Fire Company within the adopted 2005-2006 New York State Budget. This funding will assist the Cowlesville Fire Company with their efforts to purchase essential firematic equipment to better protect and serve their community.

"It has been my longtime belief that we must provide our fire and emergency personnel with the essential tools and resources in order for them to safely and professionally carry out their dangerous jobs. They are on the front lines in protecting our lives and our property and it is necessary to always update and improve their equipment," said Senator Dale M. Volker. "We owe a great deal of appreciation for the men and women who often put their lives on the line for the neighbor when an emergency situation occurs, and I am always willing to do what I can to be of assistance."

Ray Anderson, Chief of the Cowlesville Fire Company said, "This 5,000 grant will allow us to purchase emergency equipment that will make an immediate difference in the way we can save lives. Our fire members continue to be some of the best trained in the state and we pride ourselves in always improving our skills and the equipment we utilize. Senator Volker’s commitment to our fire departments has been well recognized over the years, and we continue to be grateful for the funds he has been able to secure to provide our members with the programmatic and financial resources to perform our jobs well."
