Senator Farley Announces Town Of Ballston, Village Of Fultonville To Receive A Combined $30,000 In Technical Assistance Grants
State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R,C - Schenectady) joins Governor George E. Pataki in announcing the Town of Ballston and the Village of Fultonville were recently awarded a combined $30,000 in technical assistance grants.
"This is terrific news," Senator Farley said. " This funding will enable the communities to create solid plans and studies for implementing important projects that will help the municipalities thrive."
The Town of Ballston is slated to receive $12,000 for a plan to capitalize on the new jobs that will be created due to the construction of the Luther Forest Technology Campus. The town will also study the Route 67 corridor and develop strategies for utilizing the commercial and industrial districts.
The Village of Fultonville is slated to receive $18,000 to create a plan focusing on economic issues, including ways to better utilize the economic potential of the Mohawk River and Erie Canal.
