Seward To Announce Fox Hospital Grant

A.O. Fox Hospital's program to redesign its medical imaging department, emergency department entrance and provide expanded parking will get a boost from a $50,000 state grant to be announced Tuesday by State Senator James L. Seward (R-C-I/Milford). Seward will make the formal presentation at a Tuesday, 5 p.m. grand opening ceremony at the hospital.

"Fox Hospital plays a significant role in the health care of residents of our area, and I applaud the board and the administration for taking bold steps to keep its equipment, program and facilities up to date and in line with today's changing health care landscape," said Senator Seward.

The award is from the state's community capital assistance program (CCAP). It will be administered by the New York State Empire State Development Corporation.

"The grant will help the hospital's funding plan and reduce pressure on the cost of patient care. The entire project is good news for the hospital, for its patients, and for health care in our area," Seward added.
