Bonacic: Local Educators Lobby Legislature

State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/I/C - Mount Hope) met with several local school officials who traveled to Albany from Sullivan, Orange and Ulster Counties to discuss the impact of the Executive Budget proposal on their school districts and BOCES programs.

Budgetary issues that were outlined by the representatives of Sullivan, Orange and Ulster County BOCES included the Governor’s proposed cut in program funding for BOCES, and the proposed elimination of funding for BOCES services.

"It is important for me to hear from my constituents, particularly those individuals who work directly in education, concerning how the Executive Budget impacts our schools and programs. I was pleased to meet with our local educators," stated Senator Bonacic.
