Golden To Lead Community Celebration Of Asian Lunar New Year
Brooklyn- Senator Marty Golden together with the Chinese American Partnership Inc. will host the 4th Annual Lunar New Year celebration on Sunday, March 6, 2005 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in New Utrecht High School, located at 1601-80th Street in Brooklyn. The celebration will include cultural performances, cultural food, and entertainment. All residents are welcome.
Senator Marty Golden says, "I am pleased to host my 4th Lunar New Year Celebration of South Brooklyn to celebrate the Year of the Rooster. Last year I led a successful effort in the Senate to make Lunar New Year an official celebration day in New York State. The legislation From this year onward, New York State has an official state recognized celebration and this celebration will be part of that."
The program for the Lunar New Year celebration will include performances by seniors, children, and professionals from diverse ethnicities including, Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, Pakistani, and American.
