Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, 22nd District) today is announcing that in conjunction with HealthCare Partners, IPA, free flu shots will be offered to those who qualify at the Family Health Center (3rd Floor) at Victory Memorial Hospital next week.
The free flu shots will be made available to those people aged 50 and above and individuals who are at high risk on both Wednesday, January 12, 2005 and Thursday, January 13, 2005, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Victory Memorial Hospital is located at 699 92nd Street in Brooklyn.
Senator Golden made available flu shots in his District Office in December and has decided to make further arrangements for the community with HealthCare Partners. "I am proud to partner with HealthCare Partners and Victory Memorial Hospital to make available the flu vaccination to those who meet the guidelines in this community. It is important that those who are at high risk and are age 50 and above are given the opportunity to receive the shot to prevent them from illness this winter season."
