Senator Marty Golden Presents Active Seniors On The Go Program In Marine Park

Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, 22nd District), the Chairman of the Senate Aging Committee, is announcing a new program entitled Marine Park "Active Seniors On the Go" that is scheduled to start this fall. Registration for seniors 60 years and older will be held on Tuesdays throughout the summer including July 19th and 26th, as well as on August 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at the Marine Park Salt Marsh Nature Center, which is located at 3302 Avenue U.

Senator Golden, who allocated the funding required to host these programs in our community, is encouraging local residents to take full advantage of the assortment of activities that the new program will offer. Activities will include free refreshments that will be served daily, educational and exciting trips, exercise classes, guest speakers, nature walks, learning sessions, bird watching, arts classes, and various volunteer opportunities.

Senator Marty Golden stated, "As the Chairman of the Senate Aging Committee, I am proud to have been able to secure the necessary resources to make this program possible for our community’s beloved senior citizens. I encourage the seniors to participate in this program because it is an opportunity to improve their quality of life. Staying active, making friendships, and enjoying good times is something I hope will be the result of this program. I hope that this Fall every senior willing is able to come out and enjoy the fun."
