Senator Nozzolio Announces $30,000 For Supervised Visitation/safe Exchange Program
Auburn– Continuing his commitment to keeping families safe, New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R/C-Fayette) today announced that he has secured $30,000 in state funding for the Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency’s Supervised Visitation/Safe Exchange program. The funding will keep the program alive and allow the agency to continue the program’s services into next year.
“It was a pleasure for me to secure this much needed funding to keep the Supervised Visitation/Safe Exchange program operational in Cayuga County,” said Senator Nozzolio. “This beneficial program is vital in providing safety for both children and parents who have been victims of domestic violence.”
Theresa Walsh, Director of Supportive Services for the Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency said, “We are very grateful for Senator Nozzolio’s ongoing support of the agency’s programs throughout the years and especially thankful for his efforts in helping save this essential service that keeps victims of domestic violence safe and out of harms way.”
“The Supervised Visitation/Safe Exchange Program continues to keep victimized adults and children safe from batterers’ violence and abusive tactics and I am very pleased that this funding will help the program maintain their services,” Nozzolio concluded.
