Senator Nozzolio Delivers $75,000 For Sodus Town Ambulance Corps
Sodus – Citing the importance of supporting and assisting local emergency service corps, New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R/C- Fayette) today announced he has secured $75,000 in state funding for the Sodus Town Ambulance Corps. The presentation was made at the Sodus Town Ambulance Corps annual banquet Saturday night in Sodus.
“This funding will allow the Sodus Town Ambulance Corps to purchase a new ambulance that will serve our communities and provide emergency medical care to residents,” Senator Nozzolio said. “It was a pleasure to secure this funding so that the Sodus Town Ambulance Corps can continue to provide the most up-to-date medical services.”
Members of the Sodus Town Ambulance Corps met with the Senator several months ago to request state assistance to be able to purchase a new ambulance. Today’s announced state grant by Senator Nozzolio will provide enough funding for the Sodus Town Ambulance Corps to be able to purchase the ambulance.
Donna Chittenden, Supervisor for the Town of Sodus said “I am absolutely thrilled that Senator Nozzolio has secured this significant grant. A new ambulance is critically important for the residents of Sodus and this funding will definitely help all the taxpayers in our area served by this Corps. We thank Senator Nozzolio for his continued support and dedication to the people of Sodus and Wayne County.”
Joe Schell, Director of Operations for the Sodus Town Ambulance Corps said “Senator Nozzolio has continually been a staunch supporter of the Sodus Town Ambulance Corps and his hard work to secure this funding is greatly appreciated. In addition to the services we provide for Sodus, we are also helping out neighboring communities with mutual aid emergency calls, making the purchase of a new ambulance necessary. This important funding will allow us to continue providing life saving services to our residents.”
“The increasing demands on the Sodus Town Ambulance Corps has led to the need for newer and more up-to-date equipment and I was extremely pleased that I could provide this funding,” concluded Nozzolio.
