Senator Saland Urges Swift Action To Reopen The Workers Compensation Board Site In Hudson

Senator Steve Saland (R,C Poughkeepsie) today announced that he has spoken with the NYS Workers Compensation Board and the Office of General Services (OGS) to voice his concern over the closure of the Workers Compensation Board site in Hudson. Both the Workers Compensation Board and OGS have assured him that they are actively looking at two potential sites that will accommodate the needs of the residents of Columbia and Greene counties.

With the closure of the Hudson office, Workers Compensation Board Hearings are being held in the Menands office causing hardships for many Columbia County claimants.

"I encouraged the Chairman and OGS to do everything possible to find a local site as soon as possible. I have been informed to anticipate the reestablishing of such a site in the near future," said Senator Saland.
