Senator Fuschillo And Assemblyman Mckevitt Speak With Merrick Commuters About The Lirr
Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) and Assemblyman Thomas McKevitt (17th Assembly District) today spoke with commuters at the Merrick Train Station about their opinion of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR).
The two state legislators conducted a survey that asks commuters to rate various aspects of the LIRR’s service, including fares, on-time performance of trains, cleanliness of trains and stations, parking conditions at the station, and courtesy of LIRR staff.
"The LIRR is a vital part of Long Island’s transportation infrastructure. Thousands of local residents ride the trains to and from work every day, and it is important for the LIRR to know how people feel about the service they receive and how it can be improved," said Senator Fuschillo, a member of the Senate’s Transportation Committee.
