Senator Fuschillo And Assemblyman Saladino Talk About The Lirr With Massapequa Commuters
Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) and Assemblyman Joseph Saladino (12th Assembly District) recently visited the Massapequa Train Station to speak with local commuters about their opinions of the services provided by the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR).
The two state legislators conducted a survey that asks commuters to rate various aspects of the LIRR’s service, including fares, on-time performance of trains, cleanliness of trains and stations, parking conditions at the station, and courtesy of LIRR staff.
"Thousands of local commuters take advantage of the Long Island Rail Road’s services every day to get to and from work. Since the LIRR plays a vital role in Long Island’s transportation infrastructure, it is important for them to know how people feel about the service they receive and how it can be improved," said Senator Fuschillo, a member of the Senate’s Transportation Committee.
