Senator Volker Secures $600,000 For Livingston County
(ALBANY, N.Y.) Senator Dale M. Volker (R-C-I, Depew) announced today that he has secured $600,000 for Livingston County. These state funds will be used by Livingston County to upgrade infrastructure improvements to meet the demand for the new Barilla Pasta manufacturing facility located in Avon, Livingston County.
"Barilla Pasta locating their new manufacturing facility in Avon was a tremendous victory for Livingston County and the entire State of New York," said Senator Dale M. Volker. "The competition for this new plant was significant, but working with Livingston County officials, we were able to win their selection process and bring to our region a new employer, new jobs and new economic opportunities for our families. By securing this $600,000 grant for Livingston County, we can quickly move forward to improve the pertinent infrastructure improvements that are critical for this plant’s operations."

The Livingston County IDA will use the $600,000 for two projects located at the same manufacturing facility. $250,000 will be used to construct 2,060 feet of track and two switches. $350,000 will be used to rehabilitate the main track of the Livonia, Avon, and Lakeville Railroad.
