Senator Flanagan Provides Funding For Sajes Anti-bias Program
Senator John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) recently presented members of the SAJES (Strengthening Community Through Education and Collaboration) Council on Prejudice Reduction (CPR) with a check for $25,000. The grant will be used for their Annual Conference to educate school administrators and k-12 educators on ways to reduce prejudice and advance equity.
"The SAJES organization is a valuable resource for all of us here on Long Island", said Senator Flanagan. "Its programs help foster communication and respect, and I am pleased to help support their efforts on behalf of our children, working families and businesses."
The SAJES Council provides on-site training and resources for the educational, law enforcement and business communities. Through numerous workshops and diversity programs, the Council promotes safer and more productive learning and work environments.
Now in its 26th year, the Conference includes workshops, exhibits, awards, roundtable discussion and keynote presentation. The SAJES Council on Prejudice Reduction may be reached at 631-462-8600.
