Senator Flanagan Throws Out First Pitch At Long Island Ducks Game

John J. Flanagan

An avid baseball fan, Senator John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) recently had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at a Long Island Ducks game. Senator Flanagan delivered the pitch to Ducks catcher, and Smithtown resident, Greg Connors to ceremonially kick off the home game.

"The Long Island Ducks are such an integral part of the Long Island sports landscape that it was truly an honor to take part in the game. This is a great way for local families to enjoy a professional game close to home and the Duck's organization should be commended for the family-friendly atmosphere they have created," stated Senator Flanagan.

Senator Flanagan joined the Ducks as they hosted the Atlantic City Surf at Citibank Park in Central Islip. The Ducks won the game by a score of 3 to 2.
