Miracles On 104th Street

Senator José M. Serrano attended the Miracles on 104^th Street in East Harlem over the holiday weekend. The event featured live music and provided local artists the opportunity to display and sell their work. This was the fourth anniversary of Miracles, which is sponsored by the Museum of New York, El Museo del Barrio and the New York City Department of Parks.

The Senator met with residents and members of local organizations. "East Harlem is a vibrant center of culture," he said. "This community has a rich history and a bright future. We can never forget the importance of the arts as an engine for economic development and social awareness."
