Senator Saland To Hold 15th Annual Golden Gathering

Senator Steve Saland (R,C Poughkeepsie) will hold his 15th Annual Golden Gathering on Saturday, September 16, 2006, at Arlington High School, Route 55, in Lagrangeville between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

"The Golden Gathering is a wonderful opportunity for seniors to meet in a central location and have access to a large variety of useful information and services," said Senator Steve Saland. "I know that many seniors look forward to attending the gathering and this year promises to be as informative as years past."

The gathering hosts approximately 100 exhibitors and includes free blood pressure testing, glaucoma, hearing, spinal, vision and balance evaluations this year. There will also be refreshments and raffles for door prizes.

A seminar on Taking control of your future: Hospice Advocacy and the need for Advance Directives, provided by Hospice, Inc., will be offered at 10:30 a.m. It will address measures that can be taken to ensure that a person's views are respected and followed even if incapacitated.
