Senator Saland Named To The Farm Bureau's Circle Of Friends

Stephen M. Saland

Senator Steve Saland (R,C Poughkeepsie) today announced that he has been named to the New York Farm Bureau’s Circle of Friends for the 2006 legislative session. The award is based on a legislator’s voting record on issues of importance to New York agriculture, bills sponsored by the legislator, as well as overall legislative support for agricultural issues.

"It is wonderful to be considered a friend to the Farm Bureau," said Senator Saland. "I am proud to have partnered with the Farm Bureau on many initiatives, most recently passing the Farm Equipment Lemon Law. Agriculture is vitally important to our state and regional economy, as well as to our quality of life. I look forward to working with the Farm Bureau in the future as we continue to support the work of our local farmers."

Senator Saland has been named to the "Circle of Friends" every year since its inception in 1990.
